Elementary School Retreats
In order to reinforce our Catholic Faith with interactive learning approaches, the Religious Education Program at St. James offers retreats for elementary aged children starting in Grade 3. These retreats are designed by our Director of Religious Education and are led by a team of dedicated catechists. Student participation is crucial as it aids in our children and youth experiencing God in a different environment than our regular Religious Education Classes and Mass participation.
We are excited to announce that there will be two retreats offered for the Religious Education Program during the 2016-2017 year!
One of the retreats will host our 3rd and 4th grade students and the other retreat (which is held on a different date) will host our 5th and 6th grade students. This will give students the opportunity to be in a smaller group of their peers with more individualized, age-appropriate curriculum. Students are able to attend their grade-specific retreat, only.
Every student must turn in a completed permission slip for their perspective retreat at least two weeks before the retreat date. If a permission slip is not turned in, the student will not be able to participate in the retreat for liability purposes.
