Staff Member: Nicholas Narloch
I have been planning liturgies and directing church choirs since my first year of teaching in 1979! Originally a saxophonist (flute and clarinet a little bit), I was encouraged to expand my skills into vocal music and choir directing by the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration at Viterbo University, my undergraduate school. In my long career as a music educator in both public and Catholic schools, I can assure you that ANYONE can learn to sing, if they really want to.
My wife Janet and I have been married for thirty-eight years. We have been blessed with two children: Our son Christopher is married to Vilmarie Fraguada Narloch, Ph.D. and lives in Chicago. Chris runs his own piano studio in the Ravenswood neighborhood. See Narlochpiano.com
Our daughter Alyssa is a teacher for the Merrill School District.
In my free time I attempt to keep the yard in check, and do various projects around the house. Refinishing furniture, painting, creating stained glass projects, and “O-scale” model railroading are some of my interests. Both Janet and I do a lot of reading.
