OCIA-OCIC 2025
Congratulations to all who received the Sacraments of Initiation at this year’s Easter Vigil. Baptized were Miranda B. and Gabe H. Received into full communion with the Catholic Church were Tyler J., Brody J., Owen T., and Tina H. Not pictured is Jackson B. These individuals all received Confirmation and First Holy Communion. We also had a couple of parishioners who completed their Sacraments of Initiation through reception of Confirmation. They are Peter H., Andrew B., Mary Jo K., Ken D., Joe K., Karina C., and Pam H. Also pictured is Parker H., who received the Sacraments of Initiation while on pilgrimage with Father Jordan in February.
This group of parishioners all participated in the Order of Christian Initiation/ Adult Confirmation program. The adults meet twice a month on Sunday mornings. The youth meet on Thursday evenings. The sessions follow the pillars of the Catechism of the Catholic Church, covering The Creed, The Sacraments, Liturgy and Christian Morality. The program runs year-round, enabling newcomers to enter the process when they are ready. Most participants spend about a year (Easter to Easter) preparing to be received into the church.
Do you need to complete your sacraments of initiation? Do you know someone who is considering becoming Catholic? Please contact Renee Hitt at (262)363-7615 ext. 125 or email hittr@stjmuk.org to learn more.
